Abstract

An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of propolis on broiler performance and carcass characteristics. The experiment was carried out with a completely randomized design of 5 treatments, supplemented with propalis at the rate of 0, 150, 300, 450 and 600 mg/kg diet for 6 weeks. Results showed that body weight, weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio were significantly (P<0.05) higher in the experimental diets throughout the experiment. From the results of the present study, we concluded that propolis has positive effects on performance and carcass characteristics of broilers.
